David Elford

David has a record of broad senior commercial management in retail, HR, customer services, logistics, accounting and IT.  His experience includes being interim Chief Executive of Carnival Village in London, and interim Finance Director of the Young Vic. He ran a family internet booking software business and, for some 20 years, was a consultant in the arts. This brought him into contact with many of the nation’s leading theatres and galleries undertaking such work as organisational reviews and capital project assessments and evaluations. This included a review of Notting Hill Carnival and a feasibility study for an international festival for the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance – part of the University of Limerick. He has been leader of a Council on two occasions, Chair of a 1500 pupil comprehensive school, and was Chair of South Hill Park Art Centre in Bracknell for many years overseeing significant development. David has a particular interest in textile art and craft. He has 3 children (with whom he cycled from London to Paris to raise money for the Royal British Legion), 5 grandchildren, lives in Randwick and has a place in France to which he escapes!
