Are you aged 13 – 25 and interested in fashion and textiles? The STT is offering a 2-day workshop for young people in full time education.
You will experience: Pattern construction, creative garment design & sewing skills combined with silk screen printing tuition.
Ideal for anyone studying GCSE or A level textiles or those who just like making things!
When – Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October 2019, 10am – 4 pm
Where – Stroud Valleys Artspace, John street, Stroud GL5 2HA
Cost – £20 All materials are provided. Workshop is supported by the Stroudwater Textile Trust.
The course is designed for students in full time education aged 15+ to teach the technical skill of pattern construction, creative design and manufacturing skills.
Tutors are both professionals in their field; bespoke designer Kathryn Clarke and silkscreen printer Liz Lippiatt
Over the weekend you will be shown how to:
Screen print your own design onto the fabric for the skirt
Design and construct a pattern for a skirt to fit your figure
Stitch a custom made skirt to your own design
