Dunkirk Mill Museum

Dunkirk Mill Museum is part of a large mill complex, reached by an attractive walk down the former railway track, past the restored mill pond. At the Centre, the waterwheel will run and the guides will demonstrate all the intricate machinery that was used to finish the cloth after it left the loom.
We have been just been awarded Accredited Museum status from the Arts Council. Look out for new displays and from May 4 –May 20th a pair of Anglo -Saxon waterwheel paddles will be on display. They were found in the Mill pond at Egypt Mill, so almost home! We are very pleased that the Museum in the Park has facilitated the loan. This is the  first time they have been on public display.
