Join us on Sunday 9th July 2017 when we will be leading a History Walk called Weavers’ Yarns, from Nailsworth through the delightful Shortwood Valley. We trace the development of industry and its impact on the countryside, passing weavers’ cottages, mill sites, even evidence of a ‘pig-killing factory’.
This involves some steep slopes and stiles so prepare for rough walking and takes about 2 ½ hours. Contact Ian Mackintosh to book on 01453 766273 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Meet at Nailsworth Library at 2.15pm. There is a charge of £3 a head.
